Quards are handdrawn.

Diagrams, equations, mnemonics, musical notation or text, in any layout and formatting your heart desires. Quards are hand drawn so you can really express yourself.

And they have layers because... well, sides are from a time before computers! The next step in the evolution of flashcards

Flashcards have sides.
Quards have layers.

Test yourself!

Quards is all about testing yourself. Write out your best attempt, compare it with the real answer, and assign yourself a grade. The app uses these grades to help you focus your efforts where they're needed. You can start your own custom review sessions, or have them thrown at you at appropriate times in your personalised daily reviews.

Your Knowledge Universe.

We also gave the classic folder structure a fresh look. It comes with powerful interactions that make it a breeze to navigate anywhere in your knowledge universe – and keep your quards organised!

Every folder (we call it a Node) in this structure (we call it a Tree) has its own path and its own shape, which evolves as your knowledge grows.

Your Personal Study Schedule

The app schedules your Quards for review using Spaced Repetition.

But only the Quards you want scheduled.
And only as many per day as you want to deal with.
And if you feel you're generally spending too much time reviewing, just drag a slider to adjust this.

You decide how much you want to study, and when.
But when you do get to work, Quards helps you make the most of it.

Spaced Repetition

Spaced Repetition

You remember something better if you interact with it more often. And over time you forget things, if you don't interact with them. That's it.

Active Recall

Active Recall

You want to do well on a test? Simulate those conditions while you're training. If all you do is read your notes, what are you actually preparing for?

Deliberate Practice

Deliberate Practice

You should review Quards that are difficult for you more frequently. Unless your goal while studying is to stroke your ego, then review only what you know.

Chunking

Chunking

Structuring your knowledge makes it easier to retrieve it. It creates meaningful pathways you can traverse when faced with a specific memory-cue.
